Shiromni Akali Dal(Amritsar) President along with some party workers were stopped by Bathinda Police in Barnala but upon asking further questions it was realized that the Police officials had no jurisdiction or right to stop the car as they were in Barnala. Further More the Bathinda police officers which included inspector Jagjit Singh as well as ASI and 2 constables, were said to be under the influence of alcohol. This video recorded from the incident was posted by party members on Facebook in which it was said Simranjit Singh Mann was allegedly
being illegally detained by the police when they questioned the police and motives.
